Leveling The Playing Field Mini-Series Part 1

As a bonus to you, we’re launching a mini-series on how Google levels the playing field for small businesses. The first installment (Search) is below, and be on the lookout for others soon!

The Search

Internet searches are the new word of mouth:

  • Google has more than 246 million unique US visitors (that’s 75 percent of the US population)

  • There are 5.6 billion Google searches each day

  • 57 percent of users won’t recommend businesses with poorly designed mobile websites

But it doesn’t take a deep marketing bench or buckets of money for small businesses to compete. This is because Google’s algorithm isn’t biased toward larger firms or more money. Once you understand their formula, you can go toe to toe with even the biggest firms. And win.

How? Every single time someone searches a keyword in your category, creates a positive or negative “point” action towards your ranking. Setting up your website, social platforms, and content in clear user friendly patterns helps keep you aligned (hopefully ahead of 😉) with the largest firms.

This mini-series breaks down how Google actually levels the playing field, and what you can do to use this to your advantage.
